Elias Wheelock died in 1821.2 He was born on 17 April 1743 at Mendon, MA.3 He was the son of Obediah Wheelock and Martha Sumner. Elias Wheelock was baptized on 2 June 1745 at Mendon (Milford), MA.4 He married Sarah Rice, daughter of Beriah Rice and Mary Goodenow, circa 1766 at Annapolis Royal, Annapolis Co, NS. In the 1768 census, Elias Wheelock had two males and one female in his household, all American. It seems likely that Elias and Sarah had been married for about two years and the second male was their first son as Sarah Rice's younger brother Joseph was listed separately in the 1768 census. Their first daughter must have been born in or after 1768, not 1766 as given by Ms McCormick. By the 1770 census, Elias had four Americans in his household, most likely Elias, Sarah, and two offspring.5,1
Elias Wheelock left a will on 27 December 1819, that named wife: Sarah and children: Sophia the wife of James Eager, Amerit the wife of Samuel Morse, Sumner, Sarah, Elizabeth, Abigail, Ward, Elias and Charles. Granddaughter: Amerit Martyn. Witnesses: Welcome Wheelock and Amariah Wheelock.2

Lucy Wheelock was the daughter of Obadiah Wheelock and Rachel Rice. Lucy Wheelock married Elkanah Morton.1
There is a discrepancy about the wife of Elkanah Morton. Was his wife Lucy Rice (b 1743), daughter of Beriah, or Lucy Wheelock, daughter of Rachael Rice (b 1745)? Your author has chosen Lucy Wheelock as the date of her son's birth is 1793, an almost impossible date for Lucy Rice (b 1743). Note from Obadiah Wheelock's will that his daughter Lucy did marry a Morton!2

Obadiah Wheelock was born on 7 July 1738 at Mendon, MA.2 He was the son of Obediah Wheelock and Martha Sumner. Obadiah Wheelock was baptized on 2 June 1745 at Mendon (Milford), MA.3 He and Rachel Rice published their marriage intention on 17 June 1765 at Uxbridge, MA; On p. 154, Calnek presents the 1768 census for Annapolis which lists Obadiah Wheelock with one male and three females in the household, all four Americans. We can assume that he and Rachel were married about three years before this time. While one of the females may have been Rachel's sister, Sarah, it is likely that at least one was their first daughter.4,1,5 Obadiah Wheelock died in 1806 at Annapolis Royal, Annapolis Co, NS.6
