     Benjamin Henry Ruggles was born circa 1812 at Nova Scotia.2,3 He was the son of Thomas Ruggles. Benjamin Henry Ruggles married Maria Sophia Rice, daughter of William Pickett Rice and Eunice Prentice.1 Benjamin Henry Ruggles died on 16 April 1898; at age 86.4 He was buried at Pea Jack Road Cemetery, Westport, Digby Co, NS.4

     Her married name was Henshaw. She resided in 1881 at Hessian Line District, Annapolis Co, NS, with her father and step mother.4

     William Watson Sanford was born on 29 December 1887 at Clementsport, Annapolis Co, NS.3,4 He was the son of Zenas Armstan Sanford and Annie Laurie Fraser.2 William Watson Sanford married Violet Strong Spurr, daughter of James Abraham Spurr and Margaret Olivia Goldsmith, on 6 June 1913 at Massachusetts.5,2
     William Watson Sanford was a carpenter. Vernon Spurr notes: "William Sanford went to Boston and worked as a carpenter at Allston, Mass. Returning to Nova Scotia, he was the chief carpenter during the rebuilding of the officers quarters at Fort Anne, at Annapolis Royal, rebuilt many bridges for the Provincial Government, and many new homes in and about Clementsport, N.S."6

Zenas Minard Sanford1

     Zenas Minard Sanford was born on 21 August 1900.2,3 He was the son of Edward Pryor Sanford and Serena Edith Minard.2 Zenas Minard Sanford married 1st Arlene Pearle Winslow in 1922.1 Zenas Minard Sanford married 2nd Nettie Rose Cooney on 28 July 1934.2 Zenas Minard Sanford died in January 1971 at East Aurora, Erie Co, NY.3
     He also went by the name of "Jack Sanford."2
