William Henry Rice married Julia Augusta Potter, daughter of Anthony Potter and Elizabeth Evans Jefferson, on 6 October 1872 at Clements, Annapolis Co, NS.1,3 William Henry Rice died in 1910.4 He was buried at Mount Hope Cemetery, Bear River, Annapolis Co, NS.4

     William Henry Rice was born on 11 May 1812.1 He was the son of Ebenezer Rice and Sarah Fuller. William Henry Rice married Mary Ann Muir on 26 September 1837; Mary of Montreal, Quebec, Canada.1 William Henry Rice died on 31 July 1849 at Chicago, Cook Co, IL.2
     All three of his children were brought up by his wife's parents in Canada.2 He graduated at Colgate University.2 He was the Pastor before 1849 at Tabernacle Church (Baptist), Chicago, IL.2

     William Henry Rice Jr was born on 28 October 1848 at Lake LaRose, Annapolis Co, NS. Your author has confirmed that the baptismal record shows 25 Dec 1848. Therefore, William must have been born in Oct 1848. The Annapolis Township Book records 1849, in error. The 1901 census lists his birth date as 16 Oct 1840 and age as 51 (sic).2,3 He was the son of William Rice and Elizabeth Jane Spurr. William Henry Rice Jr was baptized on 25 December 1848 at Saint Lukes Anglican Church, Annapolis Royal, Annapolis Co, NS; by Rev Edwin Gilpin.2 He married Elizabeth R. Woodland, daughter of William Woodland, on 25 August 1872 at Lake LaRose, Annapolis Co, NS.4,5 William Henry Rice Jr died in 1919.4

     Alban Ernest Riley was born on 14 September 1913 at Virginia East, NS.1 He was the son of John Riley and Alice Margaret Trimper.1 Alban Ernest Riley married 2nd Seretha Dora Rice, daughter of Forman LeClair Rice and Hannah Sheriffs, on 13 August 1941 at Montreal, QC.1 Alban Ernest Riley died on 15 August 1990 at Middleton, Annapolis Co, NS.1 He was buried at Bear River, NS.1
     He was a watchmaker.1 He locally known as 'Gaby' for a period of at least 20 years as he entertained both the kids and adults who came into his shop with the latest gossip, or when gossip was slow, stories on whatever topic came to mind. Many of the stories tended to be stretched to the limit and not infrequently his listeners left wondering if they just might be true.

William H. Roach1

     William H. Roach was born on 6 June 1830 at Nova Scotia.2 He was the son of James Roach and Eliza Schofield. William H. Roach married Mary Lovinia Whitman, daughter of Benjamin Whitman and Anne Longley, on 17 November 1863.3 William H. Roach died on 26 March 1919; at age 89.4 He was buried at Whitman-Cunningham Cemetery, South Williamston, Annapolis Co, NS.4
     He and Mary Lovinia Whitman appeared on the census of 1881 at Nictaux District, Annapolis Co, NS; William Roach, male, married, age 50, born Nova Scotia, Occ: House Joiner; Mary l. Roach, female, age 43, born Nova Scotia; Anna M. Roach, female, age 10 (sic), born Nova Scotia; Charles E. Roach, male, age 11, born Nova Scotia.5 William H. Roach was a carpenter in April 1901 at Lawrencetown Lane District, Annapolis Co, NS.2 He and Mary Lovinia Whitman appeared on the census of April 1901 at Lawrencetown Lane District, Annapolis Co, NS.2
