Edward Barteaux was born on 31 May 1787 at Moschelle, Annapolis Co, NS.2,3 He was baptized on 10 June 1787 at Saint Lukes Anglican Church, Annapolis Royal, Annapolis Co, NS.4 He married Mary Whitman on 25 December 1810 at Annapolis Royal, Annapolis Co, NS.5 Edward Barteaux died on 19 May 1826 at Annapolis Royal, Annapolis Co, NS. His estate was resolved 17 August 1826. Widow Mercy Barteaux relinquished administration to Jacob Whitman and George Barteaux.6,3 He was buried on 21 May 1826 at Round Hill, Annapolis Co, NS.3

Edward Joseph Barteaux was born on 31 January 1846 at Nictaux, Annapolis Co, NS.3 He was the son of Robert Barteaux and Olivia Wheelock.2 Edward Joseph Barteaux and Elizabeth Rice married 1st, daughter of Capt Ebenezer Rice and Elizabeth Thomas, on 20 January 1870 at Smiths Cove, Digby Co, NS; by Rev Joseph Jones. The marriage license included: Edward Joseph Barteaux, age 23, bachelor, house joiner, residence and born Aylesford, Kings County, son of Robert and Olivia Barteaux, and Lizzie Rice, age 21, spinster, residence Smiths Cove, daughter of Eben and Eliza Rice.4,5 Edward Joseph Barteaux married Susan Parker, daughter of Deacon Wilbur Parker and Charlotte Rice, on 3 May 1876 at Aylesford, Kings Co, NS; by Rev Reed.6,1 Edward Joseph Barteaux died on 1 March 1921 at Halifax, Halifax Co, NS.3 He was buried at Smiths Cove Cemetery, Smiths Cove, Digby Co, NS.7
