     Leonard Dorrington Rice was born on 23 November 1867.1 He was the son of Edward Rice and Martha Woodruff.1 Leonard Dorrington Rice married Elizabeth Cronin, daughter of Daniel Cronin and Elizabeth O'Donoghue, on 25 May 1893 at Worcester, MA.1 Leonard Dorrington Rice died on 6 November 1934 at Worcester, MA.2 He was buried at Saint Johns Cemetery, Worcester, MA.3

     LeRoy Rice was born on 22 July 1893 at Nova Scotia.3 He was the son of James A Rice and Frances A Carty.2 LeRoy Rice and Mary Alice Gerda Frude married 1st, daughter of Charles Edward Frude and Jessie M Smith, on 14 July 1914 at Clementsport, NS.4,5 LeRoy Rice and Mary Alice Gerda Frude were divorced on 8 February 1946 at Nova Scotia.6,5 LeRoy Rice married 2nd Annie Trimper, daughter of Charles Trimper and Jesse Rosencranz.7 LeRoy Rice died on 18 March 1957.6,8 He was buried at Mount Hope Cemetery, Bear River, Annapolis Co, NS.8
     He was in the military with the 246 Battalion, Canadian Expeditionary Forces during World War 1.8

     Leslie Rice was born on 11 April 1899 at Bear River, NS.2,3 He was the son of Reuben Rice and Annie Parker. Leslie Rice married Norma Weir, daughter of Joseph Weir and Martha Apt.4 Leslie Rice died on 5 May 1967 at Bear River, NS.5 He was buried after 5 May 1967 at Mount Hope Cemetery, Bear River, Annapolis Co, NS.4
     He was also known as Leslie Eugene Rice.6 He was in the military circa 1918 with the 85th Battalion, Royal Canadian Expeditionary Force during World War 1.7 He was a stone cutter and sports guide.4

     Letetia Rice married 1st John McKillop.1 Letetia Rice married 2nd John King. F B Wichman, in his Lineage of Richard King (1819-18xx), lists one of the offspring of Lydia Smith (b1753) and Isaac Jr King as John King (b1782) who married a Letetia ? on 28 December 1808. It is likely that this is the second marriage of Letetia Rice, daughter of Beriah Jr Rice and mother of Elizabeth McKillup who married Thomas King, Thomas being an earlier offspring of Lydia Smith and Isaac Jr King!2,1 Letetia Rice was born circa 1770.3,4 She was the daughter of Beriah Rice Jr and Meriam (?)

     Levi Rice was born in 1781 at Nova Scotia.2 He was the son of Ebenezer Rice and Tabitha Balcom. Levi Rice was baptized on 5 June 1786 at Saint Lukes Anglican Church, Annapolis Royal, Annapolis Co, NS.3 He married Margaret Robinson, daughter of John Robinson and Maria Marshall.2
     Levi Rice was a farmer at the time of children's baptisms between 1816 and 1846.4

     Levi Rice was born on 24 August 1840 at Nova Scotia.2 He was the son of Levi Rice and Margaret Robinson. Levi Rice was baptized on 7 October 1846 at Anglican Parish of Saint Lukes, Rosette, Annapolis Co, NS; by Rev Edwin Gilpin.3 He married Cassandra Hawksworth, daughter of J. S. Hawksworth, on 3 February 1867 at Trinity Anglican Church, Digby, Digby Co, NS; the marriage license stated: Levi Rice, age 27, bachelor, resident of Digby, son of Levi Rice and Cassandra Hawksworth, age 21, spinster, daughter of J S Hawksworth.4,1 Levi Rice died on 22 July 1932 at Cass, ND.2

     Levica May Rice was born on 23 February 1881 at Nova Scotia, probably at Bear River. Your author has checked both sources for the birth year and confirms 1881 which was very late in life for her mother, Avis Euphemia.1,2 She was the daughter of Jonas Rice and Avis Euphemia Spurr. Levica May Rice married Rupert Alexis Harris, son of Weston Harris and Ada Sophia Oakes, on 9 October 1901 at Parish of Clements, Annapolis Co, NS; by John Lockwood.3 Levica May Rice died on 13 September 1905.4
     Her married name was Harris. She resided in April 1901 at Hillsburgh District, Digby Co, NS, with her brother, William Wallace.2

Sanderson on 4 October 1870.4 Lewis Franklin Rice died in 1920 at Ashfield, MA.5 He was buried at Ashfield Plain Cemetery, Ashfield, MA.6

     Rev Lorenzo Rice became pastor of the First Baptist Church of Whately in 1833.2 He graduated in 1837 at Hamilton Theological Seminary (Colgate University), Hamilton, NY.2,3 He was a Baptist minister. Pastorates at Whately, Sunderland, West Whately and Conway. Member Black River Association and served several places in Lewis and Jefferson Co. Preached in Iowa, Michigan, and Illinois after 1837.3

     Lydia Green Rice was born on 6 January 1808 at Worthington, MA, (not found in the published records.)4,2,3 She was the daughter of William Rice and Welthea Cottrell. Lydia Green Rice was christened on 3 November 1816 at Worthington, MA.5 She married Arnold Lyndon Maynard on 23 May 1831 at Worthington, MA; (25th per Ward) listed as Arnold of Pottsville, PA.5,1,2,3 Lydia Green Rice died on 29 June 1891 at Brockport, NY.2,6 She was buried at West Cemetery, Williamstown, MA.7

     Lydia Maria Rice was born on 29 April 1870 at Bear River, Digby Co, NS.1,2 She was the daughter of Jonas Rice and Avis Euphemia Spurr. Lydia Maria Rice died on 24 November 1958 at Bear River, Digby Co, NS; single.1 She was buried at Saint John Anglican Churchyard, Bear River, Annapolis Co, NS.3
     She also went by the name of "Lyddie Maria Rice."4 She appeared on the census of 9 April 1891 at Hillsburgh District, Digby Co, NS; with her parents.5 She appeared on the census of April 1901 at Hillsburgh District, Digby Co, NS; with her brother, William Wallace.6 Lydia was the housekeeper for the Underwood family of Belmont, MA. George King fondly remembers several visits with her in Belmont during the 1940s. She knew that he liked her ginger snap cookies and always had a plate of fresh baked cookies when his family visited. That's where he first learned of Roy Rice and his wife, Cassie.7

     Maria Sophia Rice was born circa 1815 at Digby County, NS.2,3 She was the daughter of William Pickett Rice and Eunice Prentice. Maria Sophia Rice married Benjamin Henry Ruggles, son of Thomas Ruggles.1 Maria Sophia Rice died on 25 February 1891; at age 76.3 She was buried at Pea Jack Road Cemetery, Westport, Digby Co, NS.3
     She was also known as Sophia Rice.1 Her married name was Ruggles. Your authors note that the ages and birth years For Arthur and Sophia Ruggles' children from the 1881 census do not agree with the ages and birth years from the 1901 census or from dates recorded on grave stones.4 She and Benjamin Henry Ruggles resided in April 1871 at Briar Island District, Digby Co, NS.5
