The probate record mentions wife Eliza and children "in order of age" Agnes A Rice, Martha S Armstrong, Mary Armstrong, James J Armstrong of Boston, Elwood Armstrong of Lower Granville, and Charles F Armstrong.1
     He and Agnes Armstrong appeared on the census of 1881 at New Caledonia District, Annapolis Co, NS.3

     Mary Elizabeth Bacon was born on 26 January 1819 at Nova Scotia.2 She was the daughter of Thomas Bacon and Rachael Marshall.2 Mary Elizabeth Bacon married David Henry Potter, son of Rev Israel Potter and Catherine Ditmars, on 10 October 1844.3 Mary Elizabeth Bacon died on 30 September 1895.4
     Her married name was Potter. She resided between 1861 and 1881 at Hessian Line, Clements, Annapolis Co, NS.      Robert Bailey was born circa 1832 at Westport, Digby Co, NS.1,2 He was the son of Daniel Bailey and Tabitha Perry.1 Robert Bailey married Angeline McDormand, daughter of Cormack McDermand and Elmira Denton, on 6 January 1867 at Westport, Digby Co, NS.1 Robert Bailey died on 27 January 1886; aged 54y, from drowning.2 He was buried at Hilltop Cemetery, Westport, Digby Co, NS.2
     He and Angeline McDormand appeared on the census of 1871 at Briar Island District, Digby Co, NS.3
