     On 3 May 1872 John Henry Lent and Peter Andrew Johnson purchased jointly a 4 acre lot on the Middlesex Road. This lot, known as part of the Crouse farm, was purchased from Jacob and Sophia Crouse for $30. A similar purchase of adjoining land was made on 7 May from David and Christian Quigley for $24.2
