     Thankful Blackmer was born on 14 November 1803 at Dorset, VT.1 She was the daughter of Isaac Blackmer and Eunice Engerham.1 Thankful Blackmer married Hiram Hazelton, son of Paul Hazelton and Rachel Butts, circa 1821.1 Thankful Blackmer died on 18 August 1888 at Londonderry, VT.1 She was buried at Hazelton Cemetery, Danby Mountain, VT.1

Nicanor Bolet1

     Nicanor Bolet was born in June 1863 at Venezuela.2,1 He married Alice Rice, daughter of Moses Parker Rice and Mary Ellen Graham, circa 1890.2 Nicanor Bolet died on 4 August 1920 at Manhattan, New York Co, NY; his obituary said: Nicanor Bolet, former Secretary of the Venezuelan Legation in Washington, died on Wednesday at 47 Claremont Avenue. His father General Nicanor Bolet, was for some years the Minister for his country at Washington. Mr. Bolet was a grandson of General Jose Gregorio Monagas, former President of Venezuela. At the time of his death, Mr. Bolet was editor of a magazine dealing with South American affairs.3,1'
     He was also known as Nathan.1 He appeared on the census of 1910 at Ward 12, Manhattan, New York Co, NY.2 He left a will on 21 January 1915, which, according to the New York Times was filed for probate on 9 September 1920. The New York Times reported: 'Grandson of Venezuelan Slave Liberator Leaves Little to Widow.
'Among the wills filed here for probate yesterday was that of Nicanor Bolet who was a son of a former Minister from Venezuela to this country and a maternal grandson of General Jose Gregorio Managas, liberator of the slaves in Venezuela.
'Mr. Bolet was engaged in a proprietary medicine business here and left a very large fortune when he died at his residence, 541 West 113th Street, last month.
'All of the property is bequeathed to his son, Nicanor Bolet, Jr., who lives with his mother, Alice Bolet, at 158 West Eighty-first Street, and his daughter, Alacia Bolet, of 47 Claremont Avenue.
'While the widow is not mentioned in the will, dated Jan. 21, 1915, a small provision is made for her in a codicil, dated May 1, 1916.4,1'

     Delia Bordeau was born on 13 October 1874 at Moosup, CT, (14th per death record.)3,4,5 She was the daughter of Steven Bordeaux and Octava Moquin.2 Delia Bordeau was baptized on 18 October 1874 at All Hallows Roman Catholic Church, Moosup, CT; according to the baptismal certificate the father was names Steffano Bardeau and the mother was named Octava Moquin.4 She married Arnold John Cranton, son of Robert Cranton III and Jane Ross, on 17 August 1890 at Saint Croix Falls, Polk Co, WI.6 Delia Bordeau died on 18 June 1949 at San Diego, San Diego Co, CA; aged 73y, under the name Hoffman.5,7 She was buried on 20 June 1949 at Holy Cross Cemetery, San Diego, San Diego Co, CA.7
     Her married name was Cranton. She and Arnold John Cranton resided between 1895 and 1934 at Pine City, Pine Co, MN.8 Her married name was Hoffman.7

     He and Elena Bell Spencer appeared on the census of 1910 at Hobgood, Halifax Co, NC; the biological parents of the children enumerated in this family are uncertain. The census records that this was the first marriage for both Ernest and Lina. If this was Ernest's first marriage, it seems that Ernest is not the biological father.3,1

     Dr Laurence Bernard Wilfred Braine was born on 16 November 1879 at Halifax, Halifax Co, NS.3 He was the son of Robert Thomas Braine and Eliza Ann Buckley.2 Dr Laurence Bernard Wilfred Braine married Jessie Elizabeth Graham, daughter of William Wallace Graham and Margaret S. Rice, on 11 June 1902 at Bear River, Digby Co, NS.4 Dr Laurence Bernard Wilfred Braine died on 9 February 1956 at Glen Margaret, Halifax Co, NS.3 He was buried at United Church Cemetery, Glen Margaret, Halifax Co, NS.5
     Circa 1905 Dr Laurence Bernard Wilfred Braine and Jessie Elizabeth Graham resided for a time in Wyoming, one of the children was born there.6 Dr Laurence Bernard Wilfred Braine was a medical doctor in family practice between 1905 and 1955.6 He was in the military between 1914 and 1918 as an Army surgeon with the Royal Canadian Army in World War 1.6 He and Jessie Elizabeth Graham resided between 1920 and 1948 at Annapolis Royal, Annapolis Co, NS.6 As a country doctor, he used to say that he was owed more money than he ever collected from his patients. During the great depression of the 1930s he was sometimes paid with barrels of Annapolis Valley apples, some of which found their way to his descendants in Newfoundland.2
