     Susannah Berry Bent was born on 27 July 1848 at Woodstock, NB.2 She was the daughter of Rev Joseph Fletcher Bent and Sarah Berry.1 Susannah Berry Bent married Elias Henninger Tupper, son of Elias Tupper and Elizabeth (?), on 29 December 1875 at Tupperville, Annapolis Co, NS; aged 34y (he) and 27y (she) both of Tupperville.3,4 Susannah Berry Bent died on 9 October 1918 at Tupperville, Annapolis Co, NS; aged 70y, under the name Tupper, from pneumonia.5 She was buried at Round Hill Cemetery, Round Hill, Annapolis Co, NS.5
     She was a Methodist.5 Her married name was Tupper. She and Elias Henninger Tupper appeared on the census of 1881 at Carleton's Corner District, Annapolis Co, NS; Elias H. Tupper, married, male, age 40, born Nova Scotia, Occ: farmer;

     Thomas Dayton Bent was born on 13 October 1842 at Annapolis, NS, (1843 per 1900 census.)1,2 He was the son of Phineas Lovett Bent and Maria C. Boehner. Thomas Dayton Bent married Elizabeth C. Henderson, daughter of John Henderson and Catherine (?), on 22 November 1865 at Needham, MA; aged 25y (he) and 22y (she) both of Needham.3,4
     Thomas Dayton Bent immigrated to Massachusetts.5 Allen Bent attributes four children to this family: Edwin, Mary, William, and George, with no details of time or place. It is clear from the 1900 census, however, that only one of those names is correct, and that one presumably by accident.4 He was in the military serving in Company C, 43rd Massachusetts Infantry and in Company D, 2nd Massachusetts Heavy Artillery in the US Civil War.4 He appeared on the census of 1870 at Burlington, MA; aged 29y.6 He appeared on the census of 1880 at New London, Henry Co, IA; aged 37y.7 He was a machinist in 1900.2 He appeared on the census of 1900 at Aurora, Kane Co, IL; aged 56y.2

(?), circa 1905.4 William Harvey Bent married Verna (?)1 William Harvey Bent died on 1 September 1937 at Central East Hospital, San Francisco, San Francisco Co, CA; aged 54y, from heart failure.5

     William Henry Bent was born on 6 December 1841 at Nictaux, NS.1 He was the son of Dennis Bent and Amy Beals. William Henry Bent married Georgia H. Tarr, daughter of George H. Tarr and Anna B. (?), on 9 August 1871 at Lowell, MA; aged 30y (he) and 22y (she) both of Lowell.2,3
     William Henry Bent served in Company A, 35th Massachusetts Infantry, and later in the 39th, in the US Civil War. He enlisted as a private, but rose to captain.3 He was a newspaper printer while studying the law.3 He appeared on the census of 1850 at Newburyport, MA; aged 10y.4 He immigrated in 1859 to Haverhill, MA.3 He immigrated in 1860 to Lowell, MA.3 He was a lawyer after 1867.3 He appeared on the census of 1880 at Lowell, MA; aged 39y.5 He resided circa 1900 at Lowell, MA.3

     William Bent JP was born in 1767, (1769 per Calnek.)1,2 He was the son of David Bent and Mary Felch. William Bent JP married Abigail Lovett, daughter of Phineas Lovett and Abigail Thayer, in 1796.3,2,1 William Bent JP died in 1833; at age 67.4 He was buried at Paradise Cemetery, Paradise, Annapolis Co, NS.4
     He left a will on 26 April 1831 at Wilmot, Annapolis Co, NS, which was recorded 29 July 1833. The will mentions wife Abigail; brother Stephen; daughters Eliza Marshall, Abigail Forrest, Maria, Selena; sons Phinias and Stillman; and grandson William Bent Forrest.5

     Adeline Berry was born on 4 January 1851 at Nova Scotia.3,4 She was the daughter of Thomas Berry and Ann Odell.1 Adeline Berry married Stephen Rice, son of William Rice and Jane Cushing, on 21 January 1869 at Hillsburgh, Digby Co, NS. The marriage license states: Stephen Rice, age 27, bachelor, farmer, residence and born Hillsburgh, son of William and Jane Rice, and Adeline Berry, age 18, spinster, residence Hillsburgh, daughter of Thomas and Ann Berry.5 Adeline Berry died on 3 September 1933.3 She was buried at Mount Hope Cemetery, Bear River, Annapolis Co, NS, her grave stone has b 1854 d 1933.6
     Her married name was Rice. She and Stephen Rice appeared on the census of 1881 at Hillsburgh District, Digby Co, NS; Stephen Rice, male, married, age 40, born Nova Scotia, Occ: Farmer; Auline Rice, female, married, age 30, born Nova Scotia; John R Rice, male, age 9, born Nova Scotia; Ceirris G Rice, female, age 6, born Nova Scotia.7 Adeline Berry and Stephen Rice resided between 1891 and 1901 at Hillsburgh District, Digby Co, NS.8,4

     Charles Parker Berry was born circa 1843 at Clementsport, Annapolis Co, NS, he declared age 32 and a widower at his marriage in 1872.4,5 He was the son of Thomas Berry and Ann Odell.3 Charles Parker Berry married 1st Lavinia Chute on 18 July 1863 at Bear River, NS.1,2,6 Charles Parker Berry married 2nd Seretta Chute, daughter of Joseph Chute, on 12 February 1872 at Clements, Annapolis Co, NS.1,2,7,5
